The Old Museum was designed in "progressive eclecticism” style. It had exhibition spaces and a concert hall. My favourite was a display of music boxes, a great brass wheel that played a tune or a pianola depending on which button you pressed. My husband loved Mephisto, the WW1 tank, that was captured in 1918 near Villers-Bretonneux.
